ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

The mission

The Sales BDR Intern at SA Media works directly with the business development team to support outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline management across SA Media's global markets. You will be producing real outreach, managing real prospect data, and contributing directly to the revenue pipeline of a global media firm.

Your success will be measured by the quality of your research, the professionalism of your outreach, and your ability to keep the pipeline organised and moving forward. This is a role for a student who is commercially driven, resilient by nature, and ready to learn how professional business development actually works at a global level.

THE ROLE

What you will do

01

Support the business development team by researching target industries and companies to identify potential clients who could benefit from SA Media services.

02

Assist in building and maintaining outbound prospect lists with accurate contact details, company information, and qualification notes using our CRM.

03

Draft personalised outreach emails, LinkedIn messages, and follow-up sequences that reflect SA Media's brand voice and communicate a clear value proposition.

04

Help qualify inbound inquiries by gathering key information about prospect needs, timelines, and fit before passing them to the senior sales team.

05

Support the preparation of sales decks, capability presentations, and proposal documents used in introductory and discovery meetings.

06

Monitor and track the status of active outreach campaigns and report on open rates, response rates, and conversion at each stage of the pipeline.

07

Research prospect companies in depth ahead of meetings, compiling briefing notes on their industry, challenges, competitors, and recent news.

08

Maintain clean and accurate CRM records so the full team has complete visibility into the pipeline, lead status, and next steps at all times.

09

Contribute ideas on outreach strategy, messaging, and targeting based on what you observe working and not working across active campaigns.

10

Assist with any additional business development activities including event research, competitor tracking, and market mapping across SA Media geographies.

Your questions, answered

01

Is this internship fully remote?

Yes. This is a fully remote internship open to students globally. You will need reliable internet access, availability during core hours for check-ins, and the ability to meet outreach and reporting deadlines consistently.

02

Is this internship paid?

Compensation is discussed during the interview process and depends on your availability, the depth of your contribution, and where you are in your program. We believe students who produce real work deserve recognition for it.

Will I receive training and mentorship?

Yes. You will receive structured onboarding, access to sales resources and courses, and direct mentorship from the SA Media business development team and founders. You will not be dropped in without support.

07

Can this lead to a full-time sales role?
