ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

The mission

The Graphic Design Intern at SA Media works directly with the creative team on live client projects, producing visual assets that reach real audiences across global campaigns. From brand identity work to social media creative, you will be designing things that are actually published from your first week.

Your success will be measured by the quality of your design output, your responsiveness to feedback, and your ability to deliver on-brand, on-brief work consistently and on time. This is a role for a student who has genuine creative talent, a strong eye for visual communication, and the discipline to produce professional-grade work under real-world constraints.

THE ROLE

What you will do

01

Design visual assets for live client campaigns including social media graphics, display ads, email headers, landing page visuals, and presentation decks.

02

Contribute to brand identity projects by developing logo concepts, colour palettes, typography systems, and brand guideline documentation under the direction of the senior creative team.

03

Create on-brand social media creative for client accounts across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms, adapting formats for each channel and audience.

04

Support the production of pitch decks, capability presentations, and proposal documents that represent SA Media and its clients to a professional standard.

05

Receive creative briefs from account and strategy teams, interpret them accurately, and deliver visual solutions that meet the brief on time and on brand.

06

Participate in creative reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently, iterating on designs until they meet the agreed standard without requiring repeated direction.

07

Maintain organised file structures and deliver final assets in the correct formats and specifications for each platform and use case.

08

Assist with the development and maintenance of client brand guidelines, asset libraries, and template systems used by the wider team.

09

Research design trends, emerging visual styles, and creative benchmarks across relevant industries to keep SA Media output ahead of the market.

10

Contribute to the SA Media brand itself by supporting the design of owned channel content, internal documents, and marketing materials.
