The mission

The core mission of the Sales Business Development Representative is to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, build meaningful relationships with potential clients, and drive revenue growth in line with SA Media's sales targets and goals.

Your success will be measured by your ability to build a consistent pipeline, open new doors, and contribute directly to SA Media's growth across our global markets. This is a role for someone who is commercially sharp, naturally curious, and energised by the challenge of connecting the right clients with the right solutions.

THE ROLE

Key responsibilities

Proactively research industries, markets, and companies to identify potential clients who could benefit from SA Media services, and initiate meaningful conversations through calls, emails, and social channels.

Act as the first point of contact for inbound leads, qualify their needs, and book meetings with the relevant team members when there is a strong fit.

Develop a deep understanding of each prospect's business challenges, goals, and competitive landscape so your outreach is personalised, relevant, and compelling.

Track and manage all leads in our CRM, keeping records current and organised so no opportunity is missed.

Work closely with the sales and account team, sharing key details about qualified leads and collaborating to move deals forward efficiently.

Contribute feedback on outreach strategies, messaging, and targeting to help refine our approach over time.

Support the team by preparing presentations, proposals, and other sales materials that move conversations toward the closing stage.

Keep the CRM clean and accurate so the full team has visibility into pipeline status and next steps at all times.

Meet or exceed monthly activity and lead generation targets with the tools, training, and support provided.

Stay informed on industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activity, adjusting your approach to keep SA Media one step ahead.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate

1 to 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role. Experience in marketing, media, or professional services is a strong advantage.

NICE TO HAVE

Bonus experience

Prior experience selling marketing, media, brand, or digital services to business clients.

+

Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools.

+

Experience with outbound prospecting tools and sequences including LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or Outreach.

Understanding of brand strategy, content marketing, paid media, or web development at a conceptual level.

+

Prior experience selling to clients in real estate, fintech, hospitality, professional services, or e-commerce.

+

Exposure to multi-market or international sales environments across North America, the Gulf, or Southeast Asia.

Is this role fully remote?

Yes. This is a fully remote position open to candidates globally. You will need to be available during core collaboration hours and consistently hitting your weekly activity targets.

What does the compensation look like?

Compensation is performance-based with no ceiling. Base pay is competitive, and top performers earn significantly more through uncapped commission. Your earnings reflect your output, not an arbitrary cap.

What does training and onboarding look like?

You receive structured onboarding, access to over $50,000 worth of specialised courses across sales and marketing, and direct mentorship from SA Media leadership. You will not be thrown in without support.

Do I need experience specifically in media or marketing?

It is a strong advantage but not a hard requirement. What matters more is your ability to learn quickly, communicate clearly, and build relationships with business owners and decision-makers. We will teach you the SA Media product set.

What markets will I be selling into?

SA Media operates across Toronto, New York, Dubai, Singapore, Monaco, and Miami. You will be prospecting and building relationships across these markets and beyond, depending on your strengths and our pipeline priorities.

How quickly does SA Media move?

Fast. We do not have unnecessary approval layers or bureaucratic delays. If you have an idea that improves the pipeline, you raise it and we act on it. High performers gain responsibility quickly.

Will I have direct access to the founder and leadership?

Yes. SA Media is a firm where leadership is accessible and actively involved. You will work closely with Saim Abbasi and the senior team. There are no five layers of management between you and the people making decisions.
